The hydraulic timber grab is a purpose-built grapple for forestry applications. With hardened steel legs and cutting edge, the grab is designed for use specifically under an excavator, so unlike lightweight crane mounted models on the market, it can withstand clumsier use. The leg geometry has been carefully tweaked to maximise opening width whilst also closing very tight to the body.
With a continuous radius to the inside of the legs and an asymmetric design, rolling logs in to the centre of the grip is guaranteed. Additionally, the geometry and the cylinder stroke has been finely tweaked to ensure that even the smallest limbs can be tightly gripped against the housing. Our timber grapple requires one double acting hydraulic circuit (or two if you want to add a 360° rotator) and is supplied with a headstock to fit your machine.
