The 4-6 Tonne Hydraulic Folding Grab is a versatile, heavy-duty tool designed to provide exceptional gripping power for a wide range of materials. Featuring 7 interlocking hardened steel tines, the grab ensures secure contact with items, pulling them close to the grab’s body for maximum control. Unlike the manual grapple, which has restricted maneuverability, the folding grab offers full hydraulic freedom, making it ideal for moving timber, brash, scrap, and other debris with precision.

The grab’s unique finger design, consisting of 3 tines on one side and 4 on the other, allows for more points of contact than the selector grapple, ensuring a firm grip on materials. The interlocking tines work together to hold objects tightly against the grapple housing, minimizing the risk of slippage.

Constructed with 7 abrasion-resistant HB400 steel fingers, the folding grab excels at handling logs, stumps, forest debris, and even heavy materials like stone or scrap metal. Its hydraulic operation provides more flexibility and accuracy compared to manual grapples, which can be limited by their fixed jaws.

The 4-6 Tonne Hydraulic Folding Grab requires a double-acting hydraulic circuit, or two if you wish to add a 360° rotator. It comes with a headstock tailored to fit your machine, making it a reliable and efficient tool for demanding tasks.

Our folding grapples are heavy duty hydraulic grabs comprising of 7 HB400 abrasion resistant fingers (3 on one side and 4 on the other), ideal for managing logs, stumps and forest debris, but also for handling stone/rocks and scrap.

The folding grab is a hybrid design that lies between the finger type claw of a manual grapple and the hydraulic sorting grapples. Utilising the excavator’s hydraulic lines, the folding grapple is able to manoeuvre more freely and accurately than the manual grapple, which has the inner jaw locked in place, somewhat restricting movement.
